Netflix has emerged as the leading bidder to redevelop the 293 acre former US Army base at Fort Monmouth on the Jersey Shore about fifty mile from Manhattan, into an enormous film production facility. If all goes to plan, they will break ground on the site in Q1 2023 and the complex is expected to be open for business in Q2 2025. It will be a close second to Netflix’s biggest production hub in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The streaming giant also has a studio in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn
