New all-NVMe Flash storage from HPE and Qumulo targets AI and ML workloads

HPE and data storage software partner Qumulo have jointly announced a highly scalable and easily-deployed new all-NVMe Flash solution for AI and Machine Learning workloads based on HPE ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus servers and powered by the Qumulo file data platform. Qumulo’s software is optimised for high-throughput, low-latency applications involving unstructured file data. When new nodes are added to the HPE / Qumulo cluster, they are automatically added to the pool.

Performance

Designed to exceed 17 GB/s multi-stream reads performance, and with machine learning-based predictive caching, users can analyse more than 1PB of data per day and extract actionable insights in real-time and at scale.

Always-on security

HPE iLO5 Silicon Root of Trust and Qumulo software-based 256-bit AES encryption protect systems and data from threats and malicious activities. No separate licenses or anything to manage, and is switched on by default.

Intelligence

The solution integrates the industry’s most advanced artificial intelligence for infrastructure, powered by HPE InfoSight. It learns from millions of sensors from over 100,000 systems across the globe to drive global intelligence and insights for your infrastructure. The solution further packs real-time visibility and monitoring of your data. Qumulo’s file data platform includes real-time analytics to provide valuable insights into the data and the performance of the system.

Availability

This new storage solution, which is available and shipping now, is offered as a cloud-like service, via HPE GreenLake, simplifying operations and giving customers financial flexibility so they can free-up capital for innovation.. In-built flexibility to adjust capacity to changing need, pay only for the capacity they use above a reserve, and scale as they need more.
