Pinewood Studios Group has announced the launch of Screen Hub UK, a £450 million expansion of the Iver Heath site. Highlights include:
- 350,000 square feet of new film production facilitiesa
- a green campus
- an area dedicated to nurturing and growing new creative businesses related to film production
- an educational training and skills hub
- a film industry-inspired visitor attraction, the ‘Pinewood Studio Experience’, drawing on its 84 year history.
Pinewood’s managements claim the project will create thousands of new jobs during the building phase alone, inject £231.9 million into the economy support the launch of 50 new companies. The project will also include an improvement of the surrounding roads to facilitate better access to the studio complex.
