3D Gaussian splatting

Gaussian splatting – a technique for generating detailed 3D point clouds – makes creating more realistic, accurate 3D models a lot easier. This form of generative AI is finding favour in industries where accuracy and precision are essential. As well as the creative industries and alongside the use of digital twins, companies selling sophisticated products such as cars will benefit from being able to show customers exactly what they look like in great detail without needing to visit a showroom.

Digital twins

Exact virtual replicas of physical entities will become more widely-used to enhance user and visitor experiences, showing us products, services and destinations from new perspectives and in startling detail.
