Eligibility
- Aged 19 years old and over
- Right to Work and Live in the UK
- Not in education, funded training or already enrolled on a Skills Bootcamp
- Previous experience as Production Coordinator, Producer, Senior Producer or Executive Producer. Ideally 3 film credits at VFX coordinator level. If stepping across from an advertising role, gaming or animation you may need to demonstrate suitable experience or transferrable skills.
Training covered
- Developing, producing and maintaining a project plan to deliver clients objectives
- Workflow of live-action and CG based projects and functions of departments within that workflow
- Managing internal resources
- Project management tools, databases and software (Shotgun, Filemaker, MS Project, excel or scheduling systems)
- Specialist technology and software used for post production workflows
- Relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills e.g. negotiating, and influencing
- Internal team management, developing others, setting objectives, managing performance, and giving constructive feedback
- Understanding cost reports, invoices and ways of tracking completed work
- Industry standards such as format and quality
- Professional behaviours and conduct including ethics and respect when dealing with others
- Creativity – understanding creative vision for the production, analysing problems and providing creative solutions to realise the vision
- Resilience and well-being when dealing with changing priorities and ensuring deadlines are met
The course takes places from 18 November to 29 November at Allspring Media in Chesham, Buckinghamshire – HP5 2HA.
